Public Housing
The Punta Gorda Housing Authority’s public housing program provides federally subsidized rental properties that are owned and managed by PGHA to low-income families of Charlotte County. Residents pay a portion of the rent typically based on 30% of the family’s income. The PGHA manages 115 public housing apartments located in the City of Punta Gorda, FL.

EFFECTIVELY IMMEDIATELY, PLEASE BE ADVISED:
This posting serves as notice of the requirement for the residents to comply with the Community Service and Self-Sufficiency Program as mandated by HUD through the Housing Authority. Let it be known that, except for a family member that is an exempt individual, each adult resident of Public Housing MUST contribute 8 hours per month of community service, or participate in an economic self-sufficiency program for 8 hours per month, or a combination of the two as provided by 24 CFR 960.603.
